Axel Hütte
Born in Essen, Germany in 1951, today living and working in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
Hütte ranks among the leading protagonists of contemporary landscape photography. Like his fellow artist from the Düsseldorfer school under Bernd and Hilla Becher- such as Candida Höfer, Andreas Gursky or Thomas Struth, Hütte stands for the tableau character of photographic image as an equivalent counterpart of painting.
